Thank you so much for this, Benjamin. I will share and hope your unflinching words will make some impression on those Jews who still feel they can afford to be wishy-washy about this.
Thank you so much Benjamin for sharing this. You are so lucid about the situation. And hope against hope, the fight for a better world for everyone has to continue. We are in this together.
You mentioned some ‘realities’… there is another one: the fact that the international community and politicians do absolutely nothing. The same happened in Syria - words and no action.
Powerful and heartbreaking words. But words that give some hope too. Thanks Ben, and looking forward to your book; hope it also will provide wisdom to us all.
I think of myself as a bit of everything. and something of each and all of it survives in me. often times astonishing me wrt its power over me. something jewish christian and buddhist in terms of who and what the ailings over existence, its violence, its fight for survival. all these religions love as well as mourn their gods. monotheism I abandoned, as a principle, did not seem able to encompass numinous employ of meanings in the odyssey of a soul. though one has to respect religion, as family as community, ritual and convention. But tribalism and nationalism taken to its utmost, always seems to me, to end in horror.

Thank you for this. I was on the verge of completely losing it. This helped me stay a little calmer.
