Suicide by interview

I’ve been thinking a lot about the lack of coherent or morally principled defenses of Zionism, or come from anyone I consider smart or principled or interesting. The inability to see Zionism for what it is has created some strange, and sometimes pathetic, spectacles: of so-called intellectuals flailing and, in the case of Howard Jacobson, destroying their own careers and reputation in order to defend something that they themselves know can’t be defended. The fish has been rotting from the head.
